Elizabeth Cummins founded LaunchEdge after graduate school in order to apply her MBA skills across a variety of industries and company types. She has spent over 20 years in cross-disciplinary roles in marketing, social media, digital marketing, e-commerce, training & development, product planning, change management, corporate strategy, and strategic partnerships.
She spent 8 years planning and launching wireless mobile products and tablet PCs for global leaders like Dell and Motion Computing. She also gained broad cross-functional experience and change management experience as the regional Training and Development manager for Dell Southern Europe, where she developed and rolled out training programs across 8 countries.She also worked in e-commerce and operations capacities across the region.
Over the past 8 years, she has been performing strategy and marketing consulting services for global cloud services companies, including Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Dell, SGI and Informatica. Many of her projects have had a digital marketing focus, including two key projects: Managing developer relations, app screening, judge recruitment and social media efforts for the Google Places API Developer Challenge and the Google Cloud Developer Challenge.
As the business development strategist for Dell Global Consumer, she developed partnerships with Google, Yahoo, Facebook, Disney, Viacom, Amazon, eBay, Wild Tangent (gaming), the BBC and Sky, and helped to plan a partnership revenue pipeline in excess of $1B. In this role, she also personally conceived of and helped launch Dell’s Best of Web program in the U.S., Latin America, Canada, Europe and Asia.
In 2015, she was the founder and CMO of a London-based virtual reality start-up in the education space. Key parts of this experience included participating in the prestigious MassChallenge UK startup accelerator program (MassChallenge.org) and the TravelTech Lab of the City of London. In 2016, she founded her own EdTech startup, Speaksli, which was selected as one of 70 startups (out of 450 applicants) to participate in the first cohort of MassChallenge Switzerland. Speaksli was also selected to participate in GoodFestival (GoodFestival.ch), an event that brings together global innovators who are making the world a better place.
Early in her career, she worked in the Department of Communications at the United States White House under former Press Secretary and then Head of Speechwriting, Tony Snow. She also performed corporate liaison and public relations work for the philanthropy-focused Thousand Points of Light Initiative in the White House Office of National Service.
Elizabeth currently lives in Switzerland with her husband. She has traveled to more than 45 countries and has conducted business in 25 countries. She's a PADI Rescue Diver and enjoys amateur jewelry design and digital photography. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management from George Mason University, and a Master of Business Administration from The Harvard Business School.
